The club can confirm that Hearts Women captain Georgia Hunter has sustained an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury.
During Wednesday night’s match against Rangers, the skipper was attempting to clear the ball and landed awkwardly.
Georgia was able to leave the field of play on her feet, with assistance from our medical team, but unfortunately subsequent scan results have confirmed our fears at the time.
The next steps will see Georgia have a consultation with an expert surgeon as she begins her rehabilitation journey.
We look forward to seeing her wearing the armband in a maroon jersey again soon.
