One game at a time

Alexander Schwolow insists Hearts’ approach continues to be solely on the next game but believes the Jambos approach games at Tynecastle with added confidence.

The men in maroon remain the only team yet to taste defeat in their home stadium this season and Schwolow has hailed the impact of the Tynecastle fans ahead of Monday night’s match with Rangers.

Speaking to the media at the pre-match press conference, the ‘keeper said:

“It has been an incredible journey and obviously, quite an enjoyable journey. We have went from game to game and collected a lot of points and that's made us stand in such a good position for these last four games.

“Monday is an important game, but I think every game from this year was important. Now the last five games are obviously very, very important, because when you play against direct opponents, for your position it's always talked about as a six-point game.

“We just hold it like we held it the whole season. We go game after game and it's a very, very important game. We all know that, but we feel confident. We feel especially confident at home with our amazing fans.

“We try to prepare ourselves the best we can and be in the best position possible to leave the points at Tynecastle. I think as a group, it's very important for us to get this atmosphere and this feeling from the stands.

“We've talked about it a lot the whole season. It's so important for us with our supporters, maybe more important than for other teams. For us, it always has to be on point, especially against those those big teams who are up high in the table.

“So, it will be the same on Monday. We will need the fans and we will need the best from every player.”
