Foodbank Collection @ Tynecastle | 16 September 2023

14 September 2023

The cost of living crisis has placed real pressure on so many in our community.

Throughout everything, Hearts fans have regularly dug deep and displayed tremendous generosity for Foodbank collections in previous seasons.

This year’s Foodbank Collection, run by Big Hearts in association with the club and Jambos Kickback, is taking place on Saturday 16 September prior to our league meeting with Aberdeen at Tynecastle.

Volunteers from Big Hearts and the Community One Stop Shop will be on hand around the ground to collect donations of non-perishable food items on the day.

The main drop-off points will be at the Foundation Plaza (McLeod Street) and Wheatfield Street. Big Hearts and Community One Stop Shop Volunteers will be on hand from 12.30pm until kick-off at 3pm. Items urgently needed: tinned items (meals, fruits, vegetables and puddings) pasta sauce and curry sauce.

Community One Stop Shop has seen a 40% increase in usage since 2022, due to the impact of the cost of living crisis and we encourage all Hearts fans to get involved and help hundreds of local families who will struggle to get essential food supplies over the coming months.

A massive thank you goes to Jambos Kickback, who are once again covering all service fees, Hearts supporters can also donate online on this link until 30th September. This means 100% of every pound raised will enable the foodbank to buy additional supplies including fresh fruits and bread.

Any donation will make such a big difference to local families in crisis. A huge thank you in advance for your support!
