Pascal joins Hearts Women coaching staff

16 July 2024

Hearts Women is delighted to announce the appointment of Paschalis Xanthos who joins the club as assistant coach.

Pascal arrives from Everton, where he spent the last 18 months. Firstly, as head coach of the U16s side, before moving into a 1st team analyst role for Everton Women.

Prior to that, Pascal spent time in the MK Dons Academy before spending 18 months as the head coach of the Women’s U23s side.

Now Pascal makes the move to the capital and will join up with the group for the remainder of pre-season, including next week’s warm-weather training camp in Spain, before the start of the SWPL season on Sunday, 11th August.

Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, manager Eva Olid said:

“When looking for a new assistant, it was of course important not to drop the high standard that Gavin Beith had set in the role. The one thing I was sure that I wanted, was someone with experience in the professional game.

“Pascal has exactly that. He’s spent time with Everton Women and within their academy. I could see in our interview that he has very good tactical knowledge and has similar ideas to myself. His ability to analyse matches will be a big help for me and I am sure he will help us to achieve our objectives this season.”

Welcome to Hearts, Pascal!
