Timms extends Hearts stay

16 May 2024

Hearts Women is delighted to announce that Georgia Timms has signed a further one-year contract extension, which will keep her at the club until the summer of 2026.

The striker has had an excellent impact in maroon since joining from Lewes in 2022. Her combination of pace and power allows Hearts to stretch opposition backlines, as well as providing a great outlet to relieve pressure.

Timms has struggled with injury at various points during this season but has still managed to find the net seven times, backing up her successful debut season in front of goal.

In 2023, Timms signed a new two-year contract and now with a Scottish Cup final to look forward to and another fourth-place finish achieved, the number nine has extended that contract for a further year.

Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, manager Eva Olid said:

“Georgia has been a real key player for us since she arrived at the club. She is a hard-working player, who will always give 100% to fight for the team.

“We have ambitious objectives heading into next season and she is a player that will help us achieve those. I’m very pleased that she is happy at Hearts and I’m looking forward to continuing to work with her.

Women’s Head of Recruitment Sean Burt added:

“Georgia has been a huge success since joining the club in 2022. That’s now two seasons she’s had with the club and as well as her goals and assists, she always has a very big impact on a game in general.

“She is an all-round striker and they’re very rare nowadays.  I know there’s been a lot of interest in her, so I’m delighted she’s signed an extension, as that shows she has real belief in what we’re trying to achieve here at Hearts.
