Lawrence Shankland

Lawrence Shankland joined Hearts in the summer of 2022, after a series of impressive scoring feats at Ayr United and Dundee United.
It was at Tannadice where Shanks made his name - working with future Hearts boss Robbie Neilson as the Tangerines fired themselves to Premiership promotion. The manager wanted a reunion, and Shanks moved to Tynecastle after an interim spell in Belgium's top flight with Beerschot.
His first season in a maroon jersey was a sensation: notching 28 goals in all competitions and scooping both Players' and Fans' Player of the Year Award, also equalling a 30-year record held by the legendary John Robertson.
Robbie Neilson and Steven Naismith have both subsequently trusted Shankland to captain Hearts in the absence of Craig Gordon, whilst also being a frequent call-up to Steve Clarke's Scotland squad.
