Elton sets sights on scoring

01 January 2025

Elton Kabangu is already dreaming of his first Tynecastle Park goal following his loan move from Royal Union Saint-Gilloise.

The Belgian striker has penned a deal with the Jambos until the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

Powerful and direct, Head Coach Neil Critchley has already spoken of the different dimension Elton will provide to Hearts’ attacking line.

Now the 26-year-old, who boasts top flight experience in Belgium and the Netherlands, is itching to pull on the famous maroon jersey and help the Jam Tarts up the league table.

Speaking to Hearts TV, he said; “Very excited. Also very excited to make my first goal here. It's something that I'm looking for and I will work for it to make it happen.

“I'm a hungry guy. I run for the team, I work for the team, I like to score, I like to assist. I want to be important for the team. To give my best, that's the most important for me.

“I'm just here to help the team and to try my best.”

Elton’s interview is available to watch in full on Hearts TV and YouTube.
