Eva Olid signs new contract
25 April 2025Heart of Midlothian is delighted to announce that Hearts Women manager Eva Olid has signed a new contract until the summer of 2026, with an option for a further year included.
The Spaniard who arrived in the summer of 2021 has overseen a complete transformation in the women in maroon, culminating in a first-ever Scottish Cup Final last May.
Having vitally retained their Premiership status in Olid’s first season, the Jambos pushed their way into the top six in season 22/23, finishing in a highest-ever position of fourth.
That finish was backed up in season 23/24 with another fourth placed finish, but perhaps more notably, there was a first-ever victory against a top three side as the Jambos defeated Rangers 1-0 at Oriam.
Heading into season 24/25, the aim was very much to get closer to the top three and with the women in maroon currently only eight points off top spot, that has certainly been achieved.
Olid’s side have defeated Celtic twice this season, with draws coming against Rangers and Glasgow City and as the season nears its conclusion, Olid has pledged her future to the club by putting pen to paper on a new deal.
Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, Olid said:
“I love this club and this group of players. Every season we are progressing and improving as a team. This season, the players have developed the philosophy and style of play that we want to implement, which takes time, but I am now very excited about what we can achieve next season.”
