Forrester signs new contract
14 November 2024Heart of Midlothian is delighted to announce that Adam Forrester has signed a new contract, keeping him at Tynecastle Park until the summer of 2027 subject to Scottish FA approval.
Currently enjoying a breakout season with the first team, the academy graduate has excelled in maroon since signing his first professional deal with the club in the summer of 2022.
A regular and captain for the B Team, through to his current standing within the first team’s ranks, Adam has racked up eight senior appearances since being handed his professional debut against Ross County at Tynecastle in September.
Highlights included playing the full 90 minutes in Hearts’ 2-1 victory over Dinamo Minsk in Azerbaijan, as the Jambos kickstarted their UEFA Conference League campaign with a bang, while he has made two further appearances in Europe and featured in an Edinburgh derby.
Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, Head Coach Neil Critchley said: “Adam has progressed excellently this season and we are pleased to have rewarded his development with this contract extension.
“We've got an exciting crop of youth who show all the qualities required to make it into the first team environment.
“Credit has to go to the club’s Academy coaching staff who helped nurture Adam’s development and, of course, to Liam Fox for bringing him into the first team fold.
"I'm very happy he's signed this extension and I look forward to working with him over the coming weeks and months as his development continues.”
