Kingsley extends contract to 2027

06 August 2024

Stephen Kingsley has committed his future to Hearts by signing a new contract, subject to Scottish FA approval.

The defender has put pen to paper on a three-year deal which will keep him at Tynecastle Park until 2027.

30-year-old Stephen has been a massive hit since joining the Jambos in 2020.

Scorer of some truly stunning goals, like the memorable long-range winner in the 2022 Scottish Cup semi-final against Hibs, he’s pulled on the maroon jersey 144 times to date, finding the net on 13 occasions.

An influential figure in the dressing room, Stephen will continue to call Gorgie his home for the next three-years.

Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, Head Coach Steven Naismith said: "Stephen's more than earned this new contract. He ticks loads of boxes for Hearts.

"He's experienced, he's played internationally, and he's got a level of consistency and performance. I'm delighted we've got it sorted and, to be honest, it was an easy one to do.

"He understands what the club can give him in his life, and we get a fantastic professional who can help drive standards as we look to progress."
