Hearts Women got back to winning ways with a 6-0 home victory over Queen’s Park at Oriam on Sunday.
Eva Olid made four changes from the 1-1 home draw against Partick Thistle last Sunday. Charlotte Parker-Smith and Joely Andrews returned to the side, with new signings Danique Ypema and Ashleigh Williams getting their first starts for Hearts.
The Jambos dominated the game throughout, and penned Queen’s Park back in their own half.
Kayla Jardine put Hearts ahead after nearly 20 minutes. Joely Andrews drove into the penalty area and played a cut-back for Jardine who hit a powerful shot through the gloves of Lauren McGregor for 1-0.
The goalscorer found herself in the box again shortly after. Jardine wriggled away from a Queen’s Park defender and hit a low strike which forced a low stop from McGregor.
The women in maroon doubled their advantage on 35 minutes. Lizzy Waldie played a great through ball to Kayla Jardine on the left wing, she weaved her way into the box and hit a curled strike on her right foot into the far corner for 2-0.
The Jam Tarts found their third just before the break. Georgia Timms dribbled into the box and played a low cut back which found Ashleigh Williams, who scored from a few yards out to get her first goal in maroon.

Hearts looked to increase their advantage further in the second half.
Monica Forsyth sprinted into the penalty area on the right and played a cut back to Georgia Timms who slotted one past McGregor for 4-0.
With 20 minutes to go, Hearts got their fifth of the afternoon.
Skipper Emma Brownlie whipped it to the back post which found substitute Sade Adamolekun who scored into the bottom right corner for 5-0.
In the 83rd minute, it was a great moment for Naomi Powell who made her return from a lengthy injury, replacing Lisa Robertson in midfield.
Sade Adamolekun made it a brace for herself in the late stages of the match.
Jackie Richards pinged a fantastic ball from deep in midfield over the top of the Queen’s Park defence to find Adamolekun, who scored into the bottom left corner for 6-0.
