Come along to the HMFC Museum to sketch history! We are looking for young people to play an important role in creating drawings for the Maroon Mile Trail.
As part of the National Heritage Lottery Funded Maroon Mile Project, we are hosting a two drop- in workshops for primary school aged children (5-12 years old) at the Heart of Midlothian Football Club Museum. These drop-in craft workshop will give children from the local community an opportunity to create drawings of what Gorgie and Dalry means to them. Some of the drawings will be selected to feature on street banners for the Maroon Mile Heritage Trail which will be launched later this year.
The Maroon Mile is a community-led project which encompasses workshops, community engagement and outreach, traditional skills and a mile-long heritage trail. The project focuses on the rich social, economic and sporting history of Gorgie and Dalry.
No prior booking required, just come along to the museum for a fun, free afternoon!
