Join us at the Hearts Museum for the third in our ‘Museum Nights’ series, celebrating the history of Hearts during our 150th anniversary year.
This time we bring you an event celebrating the release of 'From Medals to Toffee Tins: A History of Hearts in 150 Memorabilia Objects' by the esteemed Hearts memorabilia collector and author Gary Cowen.
This new publication delves into the rich and varied history of Heart of Midlothian through a fascinating collection of 150 unique memorabilia items – some of which are on display in the Hearts Museum.
Gary Cowen, known for his unparalleled expertise and passion for Hearts memorabilia, and as a long time contributor to the club’s match programmes, will be on hand to sign copies of his latest work. This is a unique opportunity to not only meet the author behind the book but gain first-hand insights into his extensive collection.
The Hearts Heritage Team will also be on hand to share information into the extensive archival collections at Tynecastle and answer your questions. We’re hoping to be joined by some very special guests who have played their own part in fashioning Hearts history on the pitch.
Gary will present and discuss several standout objects featured in his book, offering a deeper understanding of their significance and the stories they tell about the club's history. From vintage medals to charming toffee tins, these artefacts provide a window into the heart of Hearts and our storied past.
