Olid targeting consistency in post-split fixtures
11 April 2025Hearts Women boss Eva Olid says she’s looking for a response from her side following a disappointing afternoon at Ibrox last time out.
The women in maroon fell to a 4-0 defeat in Glasgow prior to the international break, but Olid believes the derby provides the perfect opportunity for Hearts to bounce back.
This will be the fourth meeting between the sides this season and while in the league it is one victory apiece, the Jambos came out on top when the sides met in the Scottish Cup at Oriam this year.
“I always think that after a bad performance, what you want is to play as soon as possible and forget that bad performance and react," said Olid.
"When we have a bad performance, we always react, and we play well the following match, and I hope that is what will happen this week.
“It's a long time since we last played against Hibs. We won that match, 1-0 and I hope that we can win the next one.
“They are in really good shape. We know that, but we know a lot about them, and they know a lot about us. I think it will be a good game tactically and both sides will be trying to win the game.
“The most important thing in this game is that desire. Play really with the heart, as I say, because it's a Derby and it's more about playing with that ambition to win the Derby.
“Consistency is the key. We play three games, Sunday, Wednesday, Sunday. If we can win those three games, that will show really a big step for us and the league table will change. Everything can happen because there are still 24 points to play, and everything can change in a week where we play three games.”
