Macaulay Tait has completed a loan move to Livingston.
The central midfielder will spend the second half of the 2024/25 campaign in West Lothian.
19-year-old Macaulay, a Hearts Academy graduate, made his Jambos’ debut in a 2-0 win at Celtic Park in December 2023, and has gone on to feature 16 times in a maroon shirt.
He’ll now assist the Lions in the promotion push, with Livingston currently sitting third in the Championship table, four points off of top spot.
Speaking about the switch, Head Coach Neil Critchley said; “It’s important at this stage of Macaulay’s development to gain regular football, something that we can’t guarantee him at Hearts in this moment.
“He is going to a team that plays good football, with an experienced manager who are doing well on the pitch right now.
“We hope Macaulay will benefit from this experience and we will watch his development with interest.”
