Yeeun Park joins Hearts

14 September 2023

Hearts Women is delighted to announce the signing of Yeeun Park, who joins the club for the remainder of the 23/24 Scottish Power Women’s Premier League season, subject to a work permit approval.

Eva Olid continues to strengthen her Hearts side as she hopes to close the gap on the top three with the signing of the South Korean midfielder.

Yeni, who already has 15 caps for her country, joins the Jambos from Women’s Super League side Brighton and Hove Albion, where she made seven appearances last season, gaining incredible experience playing against a high calibre of opposition.

A creative midfielder with an eye for goal, Yeni has recently represented her country against England’s Lionesses and found the net against New Zealand.

Before joining the WSL, Yeni played in her homeland for Gyeongju KHNP. She was a key figure for Gyeongju who finished runners up in not only their league campaign but also in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup.

Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, manager Eva Olid said:

“We have been keen to bring in another attack-minded midfielder and as soon as we heard Yeni was available, we wanted to do everything we could to bring her to the club.

“Having such an established international player join us is going to improve our squad and help us achieve our goals for the season.

“We look forward to welcoming Yeni, as soon as her work permit is approved. I believe she is going to excite a lot of our supporters!”
