Gordon wins 71st cap

The Jambos’ skipper kept a clean sheet – his third in six days – as a rampant Scotland side moved top of their Nations League group with a commanding Hampden win thanks to John McGinn’s strike and a brace of Lyndon Dykes headers.

Craig can continue his ascent up the all-time most capped Scotland players with appearances in Steve Clarke’s side’s next two Nations League fixtures. Scotland host Republic of Ireland on Saturday before facing Ukraine again, this time in Poland, on September 27th.

Appearances in both games would take Craig up to 73 caps and into sixth-place in the all-time appearance list.

Meanwhile, two Jambos could be in action on the other side of the world this morning.

Cammy Devlin and Nathaniel Atkinson have been named on the bench for Australia’s friendly match with New Zealand in Brisbane today.

An appearance for Cammy would signal his first ever senior cap while Nathaniel currently sits on three caps.
