Robbie relishing big week
17 January 2023The Jambos host the Dons in the cinch Premiership before facing Hibs on Scottish Cup duty on Sunday.
Jim Goodwin’s side visit Tynecastle off the back of a Viaplay Cup semi-final defeat to Rangers but the manager doesn’t think that’ll have much bearing on proceedings tomorrow, given the magntitude of the game.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Robbie said: “It's huge, as every game is. It’s a culmination of games and points that you get to get to that stage but playing against Aberdeen who, from the outside, are probably our biggest rivals for that third position, and then going into the derby as well is huge for us.
“It’s really important that we have a good week.
“It’s still a huge test. We were up there earlier in the season and we got beat 2-0, and rightly so. I think Aberdeen played very well that day and made it difficult for us.
“No matter what’s happened at the weekend there with them, it’s still coming into a huge game. It’ll be a full house, a tough game but one which we’re very much looking forward to.”
Robbie revealed that he will be able to call upon the services of Stephen Kingsley for tomorrow night’s encounter, but he will be without Andy Halliday.
“Andy won’t make it due to concussion protocols but everybody else is back in,” he said. “Stephen is back with us as well. He’s trained the last couple of days, which is good.”
