Beth Rennie signs first professional contract

19 July 2024

Hearts Women is delighted to announce that Beth Rennie has signed her first professional contract until the summer of 2026.

The Scotland youth internationalist has already been capped by Scotland U17s and U19s and after a productive loan spell at Boroughmuir Thistle last season, Rennie has pledged her future to Eva Olid’s side by signing a long-term contract in maroon.

Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, manager Eva Olid said:

“It’s great news that Beth has signed a long-term contract with us. With it being her first professional contract, it’s extra special for any player, but Beth is fully deserving of it, as she’s shown real progression since she first joined the club.

“For such a young goalkeeper, Beth has a lot of potential. We’re happy that she believes Hearts is the best place for her to continue her development.

“It’s important that Beth is playing at the highest level possible to ensure her progression continues and I am very much looking forward to continue working with her.”

Women’s Head of Recruitment Sean Burt added:

“Beth has come a long way since she first joined Hearts. Not only has she managed to work her way into the first team setup, but also, she’s been part of Scotland squads, which really highlights her Improvement.

“She’s a great person to have around, with a fantastic attitude, so getting her to sign a first professional contract with the club was a real no brainer.

“We’ve got two great keepers for Beth to learn off in the shape of Charlotte Parker-Smith and Rachael Johnstone. Training alongside them on a regular basis will only further her improvement and push her game to new heights.”

Congratulations, Beth!
