Forrest: We’re looking to bounce back

01 November 2024

Alan Forrest says the Jambos are looking to bounce back from midweek defeat to Kilmarnock with a positive performance and result against St Johnstone on Saturday.

The Jambos travel to Perth on Saturday and Forrest admits it’s a good opportunity to bounce back from the midweek set back.

Speaking to the media at the pre-match press conference, the winger said:

“Of course, everybody was down after the result. We’d shown in the few games before that we were playing a lot better and getting results. I thought we were unlucky in the derby not to win the game. So, it was a setback for us, but it’s one we can’t dwell on due to all the games we’ve got coming up, so it’s onto tomorrow to bounce back.

“The games coming thick and fast is something we as players need to deal with. We just need to get ready for every game. We’ve got the European football which we can’t argue about, this is the position that we want to be in, we want to be playing these games. We know it’s a busy schedule, but we’ve shown in the past couple of weeks that we’ve handled that well.

“We’ve got European success in the two games that we’ve had. I thought we were unlucky against Kilmarnock. Up until they scored their first goal, I thought we were in control, but it wasn’t meant to be, but we know that’s on us. The goals we lose were poor and that’s one we need to learn from that and quick.”
