Tynecastle Park Hotel has been shortlisted for the prestigious ‘Commercial Project of the Year’ at The Herald Property Awards for Scotland 2024.

Nestled within the heart of the iconic Tynecastle Park, this nomination celebrates the hotel’s innovative design, seamless integration within the football stadium, and its contribution to the local community and the Scottish property landscape.

The Herald Property Awards for Scotland 2024 is a highly anticipated event that honours the achievements of Scotland’s most innovative and successful home and commercial builders, developers, agents, interior designers, and registered social landlords.

Graeme Pacitti, Hospitality and Hotel Director at Heart of Midlothian, expressed his excitement about the nomination:

"We are absolutely thrilled to be recognised as finalists for this award. It’s a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team at Heart of Midlothian and Tynecastle Park Hotel,” he said.

"From the initial concept design team of Ann Budge and Valerie Mentiplay, the construction led by Derek Ferrier, to the opening, and ongoing management by Derek Paterson and his team, this has been a monumental project for the club.

"We're immensely proud to offer visitors such a unique experience, and this recognition means the world to us.”

Tynecastle Park Hotel's nomination highlights its unique position within Edinburgh’s property scene since it opened in February 2024.

Hotel Manager, Derek Paterson, said the Hotel has received sensational support since its opening.

"We’ve received incredible feedback from Hearts fans and visitors from around the world, all of whom have been blown away by the quality of the hotel,” he said.

“Tynecastle Park Hotel is proud to be ranked third in Edinburgh Hotels according to TripAdvisor traveller ratings.

“Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our outstanding occupancy rates, with 96% in June, 93% in July, and a forecasted 97% in August. We are thrilled to provide an exceptional experience for our guests.”

As the publisher of Scotland’s Homes, The Herald has a longstanding tradition of recognising excellence within the industry, and the awards are a testament to the outstanding contributions made within the Scottish property market.

The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 26 September 2024, where winners across all categories will be announced.
