Get Smart @ Hearts – free digital skills sessions for over 50s with ACE IT

07 October 2024

So many essential services are done online now, but do you know how to stay safe when paying bills, talking to friends or checking bus times online?

If you are over 50, join ACE IT at the Hearts Innovation Centre for a series of sessions learning all about simple online security and how to use your devices safely. From how to manage passwords, to avoiding scams, you’ll feel much more confident after attending!

There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions, as well as the chance to get one-to-one help with your digital device if you need it – free of charge.

These sessions are taking place on Tuesday mornings, from 10am to 12pm, running from 12th November to 3rd December. To book a place, please call 0131 667 2053 or email info@aceit.org.uk!

Who is ACE IT?

ACE IT Scotland is a local charity that helps older people access the digital world. Older people are at risk of being excluded from a rapidly changing technological world, despite digital inclusion being a human right.

ACE IT has been working with Hearts Innovation Centre since 2022 to provide digital skills sessions and presentations for anyone over 50. They provide free one-to-one digital skills coaching at various locations across Edinburgh throughout the week. They also visit care homes to enrich the lives of residents using digital devices.
